Reels of Hope Suicide Loss Survivors Foundation is helping people who have suffered the loss of a loved one from suicide. Loss survivors often suffer from prolonged grief. Prolonged grief is an ongoing heightened state of mourning that extends the normal healing cycle and is usually further complicated by PTSD, lack of trust in others, detachment, and isolation.
Reels of Hope was founded in February of 2024 by Dr. Matthew Ziska, a survivor of suicide loss, to build a network of survivors coupled with the principles of outdoor therapy to support and promote the healing process. Together, we can overcome the impacts of prolonged grief and find peaceful waters.
